Cambridge Harriers cater for athletes of all ages from 10 years upwards, competing in Track and Field Athletics, Cross-Country, Road Running, Fell Running and Race Walking.
The Club has a number of qualified coaches to assist members to achieve their full potential and to guide them in their athletic endeavours.
Whatever your athletic interest, Cambridge Harriers is able to offer and encourage participation in athletics. Associate membership is available to those who are not competing, but wish to assist with the running of the Club. Some of our members have been with the Club for over 50 years, such is their loyalty and devotion.
We are based in South East London and North West Kent and cover all aspects of the sport for both men and women from the age of 10 upwards.
We have been at the fore at all levels of the sport, having won numerous individual and team awards in County, Area and National events and are currently one of the top 32 athletics clubs in the country.
The Club includes a number of International Athletes among its ranks and has had at least one representative at every Olympic Games since 1964, most notably Steve Backley who has been a member of the club since the age of 10..
The club’s aims are:
To promote athletics in South East London and North West Kent.
To represent Cambridge Harriers positively in the athletics world.
To encourage athletes of all standards to enjoy and improve their athletic performances.
To provide a safe and friendly surroundings into which parents can bring their children.
To support the club’s athletes in all athletic disciplines – Cross Country, Fell Running, Race Walking, Road Running, and Track & Field.
To support all in their pursuit of athletic improvement.
Throughout the year athletes can compete in both team and individual competitions. There is a level of competition suitable for all standards. Competitions include:
Local Open Meetings.
Local, Southern and National Leagues.
County Championships.
Southern Area Championships.
National Championships.
International Competition.
Whether you are interested in competing, coaching, judging or just watching please come and join us. Regardless of your athletic ability you will be welcomed into the club.
