Started running: 1993
Events: 5k to 100k
Short biog:
I started running in 1993 as a way to keep fit to play football. The running soon became more important and I stopped playing football some years ago, never stopped running.
Although I have been running for some time, it is only in the last 3 years or so that I have made a concerted effort to move up to the next level, which for me is simply running faster and for longer. Joining Cambridge Harriers was a big part of this and I have really enjoyed my time as a member of the club as well as the benefits to my running.
Personal bests (Event, time/distance, location, date):
5K: 19:02 Sutcliffe Park 2007
10K: 41:38 Myra Garrett 2007
10m: 1:05:55 Sidcup 2008
Half Marathon: 1:30:53 Frinton & Walton 2007

Favourite race and why:
Every one I have ever taken part in. Even when I perform below my expectations, I always enjoy the experience. I am fortunate that I enjoy the simple act of running; I could be on a treadmill or in the mountains.

I have not yet run my best race. I will keep on going until I do.
