Dean Lacy consoles runner up Mike Coleman after a close run race, while Sophie Parkes
recievers her U15 Championship trophy on a successful day at the Kent Championships.
Kent Cross Country Championships
Dean Lacy and Sophie Parkes came away from the Kent Cross Country Championships victorious at Detling on Saturday.
Lacy pipped Mike Coleman of Medway and Maidstone to the line on the 12.4km course in a time of 39:21 to add the Kent Cross Country Championsip to his London Championship title gained in November.
Lacy will look to make this a hattrick next week as he races in the final Kent Cross Country League fixture at Swanley this coming Saturday (20th).
Sophie Parkes left Detling with the U15 Girls title, beating Amber Reed of Blackheath and Bromley on the 3.65km course by a three second gap in 13:47. Club mate Grace Derome took thrid place in 13:58. Georgia Renny secured a second place the U15 three to score team, finising 20th in 17:16.
The other highlight of the day came in the U13 girls race as Megan Marchant secured third place on the 3.2km course in 12:42.

British Universities Cross Country Championsips
Three Cambridge Harriers competed in the BUCS (British universities) championships last weekend.
Sam Murphy and Andy Sheridan did quite well in a good quality field in the A race, and they competed as 1st years too, which is hard as most of the athletes are older. Completing the trio, in the B race, was Jo Durrant.
In the A race:
· Sam Murphy (representing Imperial) 129th
· Andy Sheridan (representing Warwick) 110th
In the B race
· Jo Durrant (representing Birmingham) 23rd
Sidcup 10
Five Cambridge Harriers took to the road on a fair, chrisp morning for this years running of the Sidcup 10.
Gavin Howe led the group, finishing 15th in 57:54. Alex Hall continues to improve earning 93rd place in 67:44, followed by Stephen Brown in 73:24 for 154th.
Stephanie Dungate finished in 91:53 and was followed by Maria Macdonald in 92:21 amongstthe 389 finishers.
SCVAC Indoor championships

Volunteers required - Sutcliffe Park catering
We are looking for a group of volunteers to help run the tea bar at Sutcliffe park.
You can volunteer for occasional cover or more regular if you are able - We need people to open the tea bar on Club nights (Tuesday and Thursday 6.30 - 8) and on event days.
As well as making for a more enjoyable club atmosphere the tea bar also makes a significant contribution to the club's running costs each year.
