Date started running/competing:1998
Event type/distances competed in: 800/1500m, but with the odd 400m and cross-country
Short biog:
I started running at 10 in an after school athletics club run by Helen and Ray Daniel, enjoyed running in a few local school cross country races and then joined Cambridge Harriers. I started serious training at about 15 years old under the guidance of Ray, running mostly 800m and 1500m.
At the moment I'm at University in Birmingham studying Medicine until 2012.
Who has been your biggest inspiration?
Steve Ovett / Steve Backley
Personal bests:
400m- 50.0
800m- 1:49.75
1500m- 3:52.32 (indoors)
Favourite race and why:
800m. Because its tactical (a good amount of argy-bargy), fast and hurts like hell !
Career highlights:
Silver at the 800m U23 AAA's 2008
Running the 4x400m relay at the BAL promotion match when it came down to the wire!
Getting to the English Schools final for 800m
Career ambition
To reach the top, then go on celebrity big brother
In action: Joe storms to victory in the 800m.
