Bio: Kevin had been running irregularly on his own since the turn of the century and after completing (and enjoying!) his first race at the Nike Run London 10k in 2003 in 44 minutes, he was bitten by the bug! Joining Cambridge Harriers at the start of 2004, he progressed to under 40 minutes for 10k in September that year, before his running was curtailed for two and a half years after hitting a bollard in training, damaging cartlidge and knee ligament, an accident that he has never lived down!! After coming back in 2007 and completing his first marathon in Dublin, he hit another set back in January 2008, gaining a stress fracture on two metatarsal bones out on a training run. Kevin is also the Press Officer and Web Master for Cambridge Harriers.

Favourite race: "Even though my first marathon was magical, it has to be the Run London 10k in 2003. I was only doing this race for charity but I got such a buzz, got a time I was pleased with, met some lovely people and felt great afterwards. It was a real epithany and a day that changed my life."
Career highlight: "Completing my first marthon and under my target time. This was the distance I wanted to run since watching my uncle run London Marathon when I was 6. To travel and compete at Dublin with my friends at Cambridge Harriers and to share our experience was a great highlight too."
Career ambition: To keep on knocking down the marathon times and try to reach 2:30 in a few years, eventually complete LEJOG, and to run until I am at a ripe old age!
